Budget and Procurement Director

JOB DUTIES: This position analyzes financial information to ensure all City operations are within budget; work with department heads to develop annual budgets; develop an annual budget and create an annual tax budget with City Auditor; use New World operating system for budget preparation; complete necessary paperwork for City projects, loan and lease programs; prepare 5-year capital plan; acts as a liaison between employer and insurance companies, shops renewals and budget expense to appropriate departments; handle all insurance claims; research and analyze participation rates for aggregation programs; work with department heads to set water/sewer rates; monitor revenues/expenses to assess compliance with budget; assist with developing financial proposals; develop financial policies for approval; verification of purchase orders; evaluate supplier options; maintain records of assets and equipment in New World system and the tracking of Federal grant expenditures for entire City.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications for the position of Director of Budget and Procurement shall be no less than a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance or Accounting, or a Bachelor's Degree in similar studies and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in financial affairs; or a minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in financial analysis.

Pay: $64,037.00 - $86,741.00 per year
