Position: Budtender/Retail Sales Associate with Marketing and Design abilities.

(Weekend availability is a must!)

Juana’s Garden Cannabis Boutique is seeking a full-time or part-time passionate and personable Budtender/Retail Sales Associate to join our team. Ideal candidates deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets at our recreational cannabis boutique. Effective communication abilities that create a welcoming environment for customers is a crucial quality. Your responsibilities will include identifying customer needs, showcasing products, addressing inquiries, and suggesting solutions. A positive outlook and willingness to promptly address any customer concerns or complaints are key to excelling in this position. Ultimately, your goal will be to ensure customers leave satisfied and positively impact the store's profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for cannabis, dedication to our mission, and a collaborative mindset. Management will prioritize candidates that are tech savvy and have graphic design experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain comprehensive knowledge about every product available in our inventory, including details on THC percentages, dosages, ingredients, cultivators/manufacturers, and effects.
• Greet and acknowledge customers
• Provide quality customer service that encourages customer loyalty
• Educate customers and politely handle their questions, concerns, and complaints
• Operate point of sales software to check out customers
• Handle cash, debit, and digital payments accurately (not going under or over your cash register consistently)
• Enroll customers in our Amigos Rewards
• Assist with opening and closing store procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain sales floor, including restocking merchandise and cleaning/organizing displays
• Meet sales quotas
• Adhere to company’s policies and procedures and all rules and regulations imposed by the Vermont Cannabis Control Board
• Perform E-commerce, website and social media updates

What Skills are we looking for?

• Experience in customer service and sales
• Ability to learn and retain information at a rapid pace
• Computer literacy
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
• Fundamental math skills
• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to easily build rapport and ask customers relevant questions that will help you serve them better and establish trust
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
• Minimum of a High school degree. College Degree preferred
• Good understanding of cannabis and other natural products (we will also provide training and guidance)
• Must dress neatly and appropriately at all times and maintain good personal hygiene
• Must have a great work ethic (dependable, punctual, quickly and accurate in completing, work well with others)
• Prior experience working in a dispensary is preferred
• Marketing/Graphic design experience highly sought-after
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to commute to our physical store in Montpelier.

$20-$22 per hour depending on skills and experience
