Building Management Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to manage and oversee the operations of Building Management Systems in various facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC controls, energy management systems, and building automation technologies. This role involves working collaboratively with other engineering and maintenance teams to optimize system performance and ensure environmental comfort across facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) including HVAC, lighting, SCADA, and security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex BMS issues involving hardware and software malfunctions. Conduct system performance analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Work with project teams to implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to the BMS, including system specifications, user manuals, and operation procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to facility management staff and other technical teams as needed.
• Analyze energy consumption data to identify opportunities for energy saving and optimization. Regularly communicate with suppliers and contractors to ensure material and service quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in BMS, SCADA, HVAC controls, or building automation systems.
• Proficient in various BMS platforms and software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and automation controls.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ASHRAE, LEED, or local regulations.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., BACnet, HVAC certifications) are a plus.
