Building material Sales Manager

Cairo, Egypt

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the construction chemicals sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building materials , with specific experience in construction chemicals such as admixtures, waterproofing, grouts, sealants, flooring systems, and surface treatments .

You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the construction chemicals segment.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base including contractors, consultants, applicators, and distributors.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide clients with appropriate product solutions and support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team (if applicable), setting targets and monitoring performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales in coordination with the commercial and finance teams.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote the company’s brand and products.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of proven sales experience in construction chemicals or related building materials.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and project sales cycles.
  • Existing network of contacts in the construction industry (consultants, contractors, developers, applicators).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical understanding of products like waterproofing systems, repair mortars, grouts, flooring, and admixtures.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/specifications.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to close high-value deals.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
