Role Objective
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain execution, ensuring seamless procurement, logistics, inventory management, and vendor performance, while supporting the Supply Chain Head in strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Procurement & Vendor Management

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables as per demand plan
-
Identify, onboard, and manage strategic & operational vendors
-
Lead price negotiations, contract finalization, and PO management
-
Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery timelines, and compliance
-
Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality
-
Maintain strong supplier relationships and develop alternate sourcing options
-
Logistics & Transportation Management
-
Plan and execute inbound & outbound logistics efficiently across locations
-
Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, and 3PL partners
-
Ensure on-time deliveries and minimize transit losses and damages
-
Optimize freight cost through route planning and transporter negotiations
-
Track logistics KPIs like OTIF (On-Time In-Full), freight cost per unit, transit time
-
Resolve logistics escalations and ensure minimal business disruption
-
Inventory Planning & Control
-
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and overstocking
-
Implement inventory control mechanisms (FIFO/FEFO, safety stock, reorder levels)
-
Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving & obsolete stock

Coordinate with operations & planning teams for accurate demand forecasting

Conduct periodic stock audits & reconciliations
-
Improve inventory turns and working capital efficiency
-
Demand Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to align supply with demand

Support monthly/quarterly forecasting & planning cycles
-
Ensure smooth new product / SKU launches from a supply readiness perspective

Act as a bridge between Supply Chain Head and execution teams

Process Excellence & Compliance
-
Develop, document, and implement SOPs for procurement & logistics
-
Ensure adherence to statutory, audit, and internal compliance requirements
-
Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
-
Support internal and external audits related to supply chain functions
-
MIS, Reporting & Data Analysis
-
Prepare and present daily / weekly / monthly MIS reports to Supply Chain Head
-
Track key supply chain KPIs and highlight risks & action plans
-
Use ERP/SAP systems for data accuracy and real-time reporting
-
Provide insights for strategic decision-making using data analytics
-
Team & Stakeholder Management
-
Guide and support junior team members (if applicable)

Manage internal stakeholder expectations effectively
-
Handle escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution
Educational Qualification
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain / Operations / Logistics
From a Tier-1 / Premier Institute
Experience Required
