Business Analyst - Marketing & Operations Focus

Grand Rapids, MI; Lakewood, CO; Nashville, TN

The Business Analyst will support data-driven decision-making across marketing, patient services, and clinical operations functions. This role bridges the gap between business objectives and financial/technical solutions, helping to optimize marketing data/market research, streamline operational processes, and enhance overall performance across healthcare services and products.

The Business Analyst will operate on a hybrid schedule where they will be expected to report onsite to 2-3 days a week.

Compensation:

  • $75,000 - $90,000 / yr. base

Primary Responsibilities:

Marketing Analytics & Strategy

  • Analyze marketing performance metrics (referrals, patient intake funnel, CRM data, outreach initiatives) to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key KPIs such as conversion rates, patient engagement, and campaign ROI.
  • Partner with marketing teams to evaluate effectiveness of touchpoints and recommend data-backed strategies for improvement.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to support.

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Map and analyze existing operational workflows (patient onboarding, scheduling, billing, etc.) to identify inefficiencies and recommend process optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical operations, finance, IT, and customer service) to implement process improvements and technology solutions.
  • Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance tracking initiatives.
  • Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for operational initiatives.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Assist in collection, validation, and interpretation of data from multiple systems (EHR/EMR, CRM, ERP, marketing platforms, etc.).
  • Build automated reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data privacy regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as liaison between business units, marketing teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, deliverables, and requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements for analytics tools and operational systems.
  • Facilitate meetings, document requirements, and manage project timelines and deliverables.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2–2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or a Data Analyst, ideally in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Proven experience supporting marketing analytics, operations, or performance improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL/Google BigQuery, Power BI, or similar).
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and regulations (EHR, EMR, HIPAA) is a plus.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

This role requires infrequent travel, local and domestic, less than 5% of the time. Travel is primarily by auto and plane.
