Business Analyst

Join us as AVP - Business Analyst, where you will Lead and manage three key broking applications:

Nest - Front-end trading platform
Dolphin - Trade settlement system
DP Secure - Depository back-office system

• Ensure stability, performance, and alignment of these applications with business needs.

• Act as a functional lead for the application team, providing guidance without direct line management.

• Review and interpret circulars from SEBI, NSE, BSE, and NSDL, assess impacts, and coordinate implementation.

• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant execution of regulatory changes.

• Support regulatory and internal audits through accurate documentation and submissions.

• Oversee change and incident management processes in line with Barclays’ governance and security protocols.

• Participate in data governance and security council activities, including preparation of architecture diagrams and obtaining necessary approvals.

• Collaborate with business teams to translate regulatory requirements into functional specifications.

• Drive implementation of new modules and enhancements to meet evolving business and compliance needs.

To be successful as an AVP - Business Analyst, you will need:

• Strong understanding of trading, settlement, and back-office processes within broking or financial technology.

• Deep knowledge of SEBI/NSE/BSE/NSDL regulations, audits, and circulars.

• Ability to bridge business requirements with technology solutions through clear documentation and collaboration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on compliance and governance.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across business, risk, and IT teams.

Basic / Essential Qualifications:

• Experience in broking operations, trading platforms, or financial technology.

• Proven experience in managing regulatory and audit requirements.

• Strong understanding of SEBI/NSE/BSE/NSDL guidelines and processes.

• Hands-on experience in application lifecycle management, incident tracking, and change governance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skillsets / Good to have:

• Experience with trading and settlement systems such as Nest, Dolphin, or DP Secure (or similar).

• Exposure to working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to interpret technical architecture and security requirements.

Purpose of the role

To collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.

Accountabilities

• Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
• Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
• Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
• Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
