Business Analyst

Hipodrom.com is a legally authorized dealer (official licensed agent) of both the Turkish Jockey Club (TJK) and the Turkish National Lottery (Milli Piyango). Through the agreement made by Hipodrom Şans Oyunları Anonim Şirketi with TJK, Hipodrom.com operates as the official virtual dealer for mutual and fixed-odds horse racing bets.

Both the website and mobile application of Hipodrom.com allow users to place bets on all races.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support the ongoing development of our horse racing and betting products.

This role focuses on turning business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements, maintaining high-quality documentation, and ensuring smooth collaboration between business, product, design, and engineering teams.

It is an ideal role for a mid-level analyst who enjoys structure, clarity, and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

• 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a digital product environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to produce precise documentation: BRDs, user stories, use cases, flow diagrams, and UML models.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities,
• Ability to work collaboratively with different teams,
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail,
• Responsible and disciplined.

Job Description:

• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
• Convert requirements into well-structured user stories, BRDs, and use cases.
• Create visual documentation such as workflows, wireframes, UML diagrams, and data-flow diagrams (DFDs).
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation across Jira and Confluence.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, reviews).
• Support backlog organization and ensure tickets meet the Definition of Ready.
• Work closely with engineering teams (backend,middleware, frontend, mobile) to validate technical feasibility and clarify business logic.
• Serve as an effective communication bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define acceptance criteria and prepare acceptance test cases.
• Support UAT processes to ensure deliverables match requirements.
• Monitor product performance using analytics tools to identify issues and recommend improvements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience in betting or gaming industries.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SOAP) to understand service interactions.
• Basic experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Firebase, or Adjust.
• Basic SQL skills for data checks.
• Certifications such as CBAP are a plus.
