Business Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional Aviation Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for analysing and defining business processes of airports, aviation authorities, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to drive efficiency and growth. Key Responsibilities:

•

Business Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals, challenges, and strategies. Align technology solutions with business objectives to drive innovation and efficiency.

•

Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business's strategic plans. Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps that support and enhance business goals.

•

Solution Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop technology solutions that address business needs. Ensure that solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with best practices.

•

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments. Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to facilitate effective communication.

•

Requirement Management: Business requirements document i.e. BRD, FRD, IRD etc. Convert requirements into Scrum EPICs & Stories.

•

Agile Expert: Understands Scrum ceremonies and be able to support Whiteboarding, Sprint Planning by prioritising things with PO

•

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements with right suggestions to customer based on previous experiences. Translate business needs into clear and actionable technology requirements.

Project Oversight: Provide oversight for technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and with adequate quality. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

•

Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with technology solutions. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

•

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

•

Technology Integration: Evaluating and recommending technology solutions that can improve business processes and performance. Assisting in the implementation and optimization of aviation-related software and systems.

Qualifications:

•

Educational Background: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or aviation field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications may be preferred.

•

Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis and minimum 5 years within Aviation industry. Nice to have aviation experience within middle east region not mandatory.

•

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the aviation industry, including regulations, operations, and market dynamics. Familiarity with aviation-specific software and systems can be beneficial. Familiar with Audits, compliances, reporting followed by airports and aviation authorities. Expertise in risk management & assessment, violation tracking, incident investigations etc.

•

Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of organizational goals, processes, & challenges of Aviation industry to guide customers and helping them to make decisions.

•

Communication Skills: Excellent communication (Written & verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to have Arabic speaker not mandatory.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align technology solutions with long-term business goals.

•

Project Management: Project management skills to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technology projects.

•

Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.

•

Analytical Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex business challenges and propose effective solutions.

•

Leadership: Leadership qualities to influence and guide teams towards successful outcomes.

•

Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Jira, Azure Devops)

•

Certifications (Optional but Advantageous): Certifications related to business analysis or aviation management, such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CAM (Certified Aviation Manager).
