Business Analyst — Doha
About the role
We are seeking a pragmatic Business Analyst based in Doha to translate business needs into clear into clear requirements, drive process improvements, and support delivery of digital and operational projects that enhance efficiency and business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Requirements gathering: Engage stakeholders to elicit, document and validate business requirements, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Process analysis: Map, analyse and optimise business processes using techniques such as BPMN, SIPOC and root‑cause analysis; recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
- Solution design: Translate requirements into functional specifications, wireframes, data models and process flows; collaborate with product, UX and engineering on feasible solutions.
- Stakeholder management: Facilitate workshops, working sessions and regular updates with business owners, IT, operations and third‑party vendors.
- Data analysis &* reporting:* Analyse datasets to identify trends, KPIs and business insights; prepare dashboards and management reports using Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
- Testing &* QA:* Define test plans, coordinate UAT, document defects and verify fixes against acceptance criteria.
- Project support: Support project planning, prioritisation, and delivery; track requirements, risks and dependencies through to implementation.
- Change management: Support rollout activities, create user documentation, training materials and adoption plans; assist with post‑implementation reviews.
- Performance measurement: Define and monitor success metrics and post‑implementation benefits realisation.
- Compliance &* governance:* Ensure solutions comply with local regulations and internal policies; maintain traceability of requirements and decisions.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, or related roles; experience in Doha/Qatar or GCC markets preferred.
- Strong proficiency in requirements documentation, process mapping and user story creation.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL for data interrogation.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies; experience as a Product Owner or in hybrid delivery models is an advantage.
- Competence with modelling and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart) and Jira/Confluence or similar collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented with problem‑solving mindset.
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency advantageous.
- Valid work authorisation for Qatar.
