Business Analyst - Capital Market

About the Role

We're building the next generation of trading platforms, and we need domain-savvy to help us get there. You'll be at the heart of our product delivery, working closely with our Product Owner and Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.

If you're someone who truly understands how traders think, how risk teams operate, and how back offices function in real-time trading environments, this role is for you. You'll be the domain expert who ensures our development and QA teams build something that actually works in the fast-paced world of capital markets.

What You'll Do

• Be the domain expert - Work with our Product Owner/Business Analyst to document functional specs, map user experiences, and define business logic that makes sense
• Bridge teams - Train developers and testers on trading workflows, helping them understand not just what to build, but why it matters
• Shape the product - Help manage our backlog, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria that reflect real trading scenarios
• Step up when needed - Shadow the Product Owner and represent product thinking in team discussions
• Stay ahead of the curve - Keep track of regulatory changes and market developments that could impact our product

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Analyst in capital markets or trading systems
• Deep trading knowledge - You understand equities, options, order lifecycles, routing, and post-trade processes in depth
• Risk awareness - Experience with market risk, operational risk, and compliance requirements
• Communication skills - You can create clear specs, flow diagrams, and user stories that everyone can understand
• Team collaboration - You've worked closely with dev and QA teams and know how to create test scenarios
• Tool proficiency - Comfortable with Jira, MS Office, and documentation tools
• Platform experience - Bonus points if you've worked with Sterling Trader Pro, Bloomberg EMSX, Fidessa, TT, or similar platforms, and have the knowledge of SDLC
