Business Analyst (Software Development)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to bridge the gap between complex business challenges and technical software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and act as the primary architect of project requirements. You will be responsible for translating stakeholder visions into technical specifications and crafting compelling project proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead workshops and interviews with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Proposal Writing: Assist the sales and technical teams in drafting detailed technical proposals, including scope of work (SOW), cost estimates, and project timelines.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Process Mapping: Develop detailed process flow diagrams, wireframes, and use-case scenarios to visualize software logic and user journeys.
• Liaison: Act as the central point of communication between business stakeholders, UI/UX designers, and the engineering team to ensure alignment throughout the development process.
• UAT Oversight: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the final software product meets the defined business requirements and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Documentation Tools: Expertise in using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or Microsoft Visio.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to identify business gaps and propose scalable software interventions.
• Experience: Proven track record in requirement engineering and proposal development within a software house or tech consultancy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to manage a product backlog.
• Familiarity with data modeling and SQL for basic data analysis.
• Experience in the GCC market and understanding of regional business compliance standards.
