Business Analyst - Telecommunication

Onsite Islamabad

Job Description:

Gather and document business, functional, and technical requirements

Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops

Create BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, and process flow diagrams

Perform gap analysis and recommend system improvements

Analyze telecom systems (OSS/BSS, billing, CRM, provisioning systems, NMS)

Support network transformation, VoIP, 5G/LTE, FTTX, or cloud migration projects

Work closely with business stockholders, network engineers, IT teams

Ensure integration between telecom platforms and enterprise systems

Collaborate on system implementations and upgrades

Translate business requirements into technical specifications

Support API integrations and data migration initiatives

Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking

Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau

Create dashboards and performance reports

Analyze KPIs such as churn rate, ARPU, network performance, SLA metrics

Required Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of telecom architecture (OSS/BSS, CRM, Billing)

Knowledge of networking basics (IP, MPLS, VPN, VoIP, LTE/5G)

Experience with SDLC (Waterfall/Agile/Scrum)

Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools

Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow

Understanding of APIs, REST/SOAP integrations

Strong documentation skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement/management and influencing skills

Required Qualification and Experience:

4+ years of experience in Product Management, Strategy, Business Analysis, product management, or IT/digital transformation within the telecom industry

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications

Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, applications and planning processes

Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills

Solid understanding of telecom CRM, BSS/OSS architecture and integration with network elements

Understanding of APIs, REST/SOAP integrations

Familiarity with telecom-specific frameworks like eTOM or TM Forum standards

Understanding of SaaS, cloud platforms, APIs, mobile/web application development

Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Notion or Trello is a plus
