We are seeking a skilled professional to lead and coordinate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) activities across our holding and group companies. This role will be responsible not only for developing and maintaining continuity plans, but also for providing coordination and oversight to ensure alignment and resilience across all group entities.


What Do We Expect from Our New Team Member?

  • Developing, implementing, and administering comprehensive disaster management strategies and solutions including disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation, including training programs, exercises and drills; performs virtual or in person community education and outreach programs on disaster preparedness and planning.
  • Provides leadership in coordinating, assessing, and communicating recovery requirements and contingency plans associated with business units to protect critical assets; people, property, and product, in the event of an unforeseen disaster.
  • Planning, directing, and organizing all activities for the Group’s disaster preparedness programs, including maintaining the Group’s Disaster Management System (DMS) activation procedures.
  • Identify potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities that could impact Eczacıbaşı Group’s business operations, and proactively building organizational resilience and capability for adequate response and recovery in such a disaster/crisis.
  • To assist with, and lead as appropriate, the comprehensive training and exercising programs for staff at all levels from ‘floor to Board’ with specialist training for those members of staff with specific roles in the Group’s response to incidents.
  • Work with the Group Risk Management network to develop and maintain Business Impact Analysis documentation and Business Continuity plans and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate the impact of business disruption.
  • Directly support the Group Risk Manager to manage and improve the BCM program and supporting governance framework; implement organizational incident response methodology, plans and protocols and support the continuity of business operations.
  • Takes the lead role in the Group during disaster situations to ensure the Group supports and communicates in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Develop, update, and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans for the holding and group companies
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize critical business processes.
  • Plan and execute emergency drills and continuity exercises across group entities.
  • Collaborate with IT, Information Security, HR, Corporate Communications, and other business units to minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate and oversee business continuity initiatives across group companies, ensuring consistency with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.


What kind of teammate are we looking for?

  • Graduated from preferably business, economics, statistics, business engineering, industrial engineering, or other relevant departments of universities,
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), ISO 31000 (Risk Management), ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management) or related certification preferred,
  • At least five years of experience in an disaster/emergency management field,
  • Ability to anticipate hazards and problems and respond effectively,
  • Completed military service for male candidates,
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken),
  • Strong knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks and ISO 22301 standards,
  • Excellent analytical, coordination, and crisis management skills,
  • Preferably experienced in holding structuresor multi-company organizations,
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities,
  • Residing in Istanbul,
  • Team player with a positive and constructive attitude.
