Data Analyst – BI Reporting (Financial Services)

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting within the financial services and banking sector . The role involves analyzing complex financial datasets, developing insightful dashboards, and supporting decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik .
• Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions .
• Work with large datasets from core banking systems, financial transactions, and regulatory reporting platforms .
• Conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to support strategic initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and regulatory requirements (Basel, IFRS, AML, etc.).
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Provide actionable insights to risk management, compliance, and finance teams .
• Document data models, reporting logic, and workflows for knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience as a Data Analyst/BI Analyst in the financial industry or banking sector .
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of financial products, transactions, and regulatory reporting .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to cloud-based BI platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Experience with risk analytics, fraud detection, or compliance reporting .
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
