Job Summary: We are looking for a highly driven Business Developer who will be responsible for bringing in new business, closing sales, and ensuring a smooth transition to our Project Management team. This is not just a lead generation role — you will own the entire sales journey from lead acquisition to client onboarding, supervise the initial delivery experience, and be actively involved in upselling after project completion. You will work closely with our Specialized Project Managers, ensuring every client receives what was promised, no commitments are missed, and all project information is transferred without gaps.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Sales Conversion

  • Acquire leads through outreach (cold emails, LinkedIn, networking, bidding on freelance platforms) and from inbound sources (marketing campaigns, referrals, website inquiries).
  • Manage and track all leads in Pipedrive CRM, keeping statuses up to date and following up consistently.
  • Handle initial discovery calls, understand client needs, and present our services effectively.
  • Overcome objections, negotiate terms, and close deals in line with company pricing and scope.
  • Prepare and document a basic scope of work before handover to the Project Manager.

2. Client Onboarding & Handover

  • Onboard new clients after the sale, ensuring they feel welcomed and confident in our process.
  • Gather all necessary project information during onboarding and document it clearly.
  • Share all client discussions, commitments, and expectations with the assigned Project Manager so the client never needs to repeat themselves.
  • Introduce the Project Manager as the technical lead and ensure a smooth handover meeting.

3. Project Oversight (Sales Perspective)

  • Stay involved in the project at a supervisory level to ensure promises made during sales are being met.
  • Monitor overall communication between the client and team to prevent delays or misunderstandings.
  • Act as a bridge between the client and team for commercial or relationship-related concerns.
  • Proactively check in with clients during key milestones to maintain trust.

4. Upselling & Client Retention

  • Conduct post-project review calls to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Identify and propose upsell opportunities based on the client’s business goals and our service offerings.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with past clients to encourage repeat business.

5. Reporting & CRM Management

  • Keep Pipedrive CRM fully updated with accurate deal stages, notes, and follow-up reminders.
  • Prepare weekly sales activity and pipeline reports for management.
  • Track conversion rates and suggest improvements to the sales process.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience in a digital agency, IT services, or B2B services environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, design, and web development services (technical training will be provided).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple leads and accounts simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using Pipedrive or similar CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with freelancing platforms (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer) for lead generation.
  • Prior experience in client onboarding and account management.
  • Familiarity with technical terminology in marketing, design, and development.
