We are looking for a dynamic and persuasive Business Developer to grow our marketplace by onboarding small, medium, and large businesses. This role focuses on identifying potential sellers, convincing them to register on our platform, and helping them list their products for sale. The ideal candidate is confident in client outreach, passionate about business growth, and skilled at building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential sellers across various industries—including small shops, medium-sized enterprises, and large retailers.
- Visit businesses in person to pitch the platform, demonstrate its benefits, and guide them through the registration process.
- Conduct online and offline presentations to explain platform features, pricing, and advantages.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure successful onboarding and long-term engagement.
- Send professional outreach emails, proposals, and follow-up communications.
- Make follow-up calls to close deals and assist sellers until their products are fully listed on the platform.
- Create and distribute newsletters, promotional materials, and onboarding guides for new sellers.
- Work closely with the marketing and product teams to improve seller acquisition strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor platforms, and seller needs to enhance the onboarding experience.
- Meet monthly and quarterly targets for new seller registrations and active listings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, vendor acquisition, or marketplace onboarding (preferred).
- Strong ability to persuade and present value propositions clearly.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in face-to-face client visits and fieldwork.
- Strong follow-up habits and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with email outreach, call handling, and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets, and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel for seller visits and acquisition activities.
