As an Assistant Manager, Business Development, you will be responsible for assisting the Manager, Business Development to strategically manage existing accounts and develop new business for the resort from all key markets, locally and internationally. You will primarily be responsible for generating group leads and commercial business, enabling the Groups, Events, Restaurants, Marine & Waterpark segments to reach and/or exceed the department's revenue and room-nights targets. You will position the resort in conjunction with the PR, Marketing, and Operations departments to create demand and ensure offerings evolve in line with trends and market conditions. This role is based in Dubai and is customer facing, both within the Atlantis Dubai portfolio and through visiting local accounts. You will proactively drive sales activity to increase revenue in the Group & Events Sales segment and identify and gain new business while maintaining and developing existing clients and businesses. You will help develop and establish a business development plan focusing on increasing demand from corporate and trade partners.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager, Business Development in strategically managing existing accounts and developing new business from all key markets, locally and internationally.
  • Generate group leads and commercial business to help Groups, Events, Restaurants, Marine & Waterpark segments reach revenue and room-nights targets.
  • Coordinate with PR, Marketing, and Operations to create demand and ensure offerings evolve with market trends.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and businesses; identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Develop and establish a business development plan to increase demand from corporate and trade partners.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, within a 5-star resort/hotel.
  • Strong passion for sales with the ability to exceed targets and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with prospective clients.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; ability to build relationships and generate demand for resort and hotel venues.
  • Academic qualification is not essential.
