Overview
A Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting the sales and marketing teams to drive company growth. They play a key role in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and contributing to revenue expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research, identify, and develop new business prospects through cold calling, emailing, networking, and social outreach.
- Prospect Qualification: Evaluate potential clients to understand their needs, budget, and decision-making process.
- Client Relationship Management: Engage with prospects to build trust, present solutions, and nurture relationships.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with preparing proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle objections and engage with prospects confidently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and marketing strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience in the industry relevant to the employer (e.g., tech, SaaS, finance, education, manufacturing).
