Business Development Director

Position overview:

The Business Development Director (BDD) is pivotal in driving

Software-as-a-Service revenue growth for PingCx by actively prospecting, engaging,

and nurturing client relationships. This position involves identifying potential Contractor

and Service Provider clients within established Reseller channels. The BDD will achieve

success by working within assigned reseller channels and geographies to become the

channel partners’ trusted source of education and sales support. The BDD will conduct

needs assessments and deliver tailored sales presentations that showcase the value of

Lifecycle Commissioning ® . The BDD assists the reseller channel partner to complete the

sales process, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing deals.

Collaboration with internal teams, such as Product Management and Account

Management, is essential to ensure client satisfaction and maximize opportunities for

upselling. With a focus on continuous learning and adaptation to industry trends, the

BDD will contribute significantly to the company's success while fostering robust and

long-lasting client partnerships.

Key responsibilities:

 Sales strategy execution: Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to

partner with and sell within the assigned reseller channel partners. The BDD will

identify, target, and close new Contractor and Service Provider opportunities.

 Business development: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business

through research, networking, and inbound inquiries within the reseller channel

market. You will build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and

achieve assigned sales targets.

 Client relationship management: Build strong, long-lasting relationships with

clients, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the sales cycle.

Develop an understanding of the client’s needs, challenges, and objectives to

position PingCx as a solution that addresses this need and delivers value.

 Collaboration with internal teams: Partner with Product Management,

Marketing, and Account Management teams to align sales efforts with customer

success strategies and product enhancements. Relay client feedback to internal

teams to help improve products and tailor future sales efforts.

 Reporting and forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities,

opportunities, and forecasts using CRM tools. Provide regular updates to

leadership on progress toward sales targets and upcoming opportunities.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or significant experience in HVAC, Building

Automation, Facilities Management, Commissioning, or other related fields.

 5+ years of experience in a sales, technical, customer success, or account

management role, preferably in Building Automation and Controls.

 Strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong

client relationships.

 Problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.

 Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
