We are seeking a Business Development Engineer – Strategic Sales to join our Business Development Department. In this role, you will focus on identifying and engaging high-value prospective customers, positioning Altan Hidrolik’s capabilities, and laying the foundation for long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate will not only open new business opportunities but also become a trusted advisor to prospective customers, guiding them through the early stages of collaboration by understanding their technical needs, aligning solutions, and building confidence in our ability to deliver.
Job Description

Identify and prioritize potential strategic customers aligned with Altan Hidrolik’s growth objectives and value proposition.

Research target organizations to map decision-makers and influencers in engineering, sourcing, operations and program management.

Initiate contact, secure meetings, and deliver tailored presentations that highlight our capabilities and value proposition.

Organize and coordinate NDAs, factory visits, and early-stage technical discussions.

Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges, advising on potential solutions, and demonstrating how Altan Hidrolik can add value.

Facilitate high-level feasibility checks with internal technical teams to qualify opportunities.

Maintain consistent outreach and relationship development until opportunities are ready for commercial handover to the Sales department.

Log all activities, contacts, and progress in the CRM system.

Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions, engaging with potential customers and capturing leads for follow-up.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B business development, technical sales, or account acquisition (automotive, defense, or manufacturing industry preferred).

Strong understanding of engineered products, manufacturing processes, and OEM procurement dynamics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess customer needs, qualify opportunities, and align them with company capabilities.

Proven ability to build trust with technical and commercial stakeholders.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Turkish and English.

Proficient in CRM tools and MS Office.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently to open new opportunities.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
