About the Role

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our growth team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and helping students choose the right educational offerings. Your efforts will directly contribute to Unacademy’s expansion and learner success across the country.


Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients, partners, and local institutions. Generate leads through cold calls, online research, and field visits.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients. Understand their academic needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Deliver persuasive presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on education trends, competitor offerings, and changing market demands. Analyse data to identify new business opportunities.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales interactions, performance, and conversions. Submit regular reports and forecasts to management.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, product, and academic teams to align goals and improve offerings. Provide market feedback to aid continuous improvement.
  • Student Counselling: Interact with prospective students via calls or in-person to understand their educational goals and guide them accordingly.
  • Enrolment Assistance: Support students in the admission process, including course selection, payment, and registration. Follow up to ensure smooth onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or academic counselling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office, and other sales tools
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and a team player
