Business Development Executive

Business Development Executive (BDE) in a shipping company drives revenue growth by identifying, securing, and nurturing new logistics, freight forwarding, and ocean/air freight clients. They generate leads, negotiate contracts, prepare sales proposals, and analyze market trends to expand the customer base and meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, cold calling, and networking to increase market share.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales & Negotiations: Prepare, present, and negotiate, freight proposals, quotations, and contracts to close deals.
  • Strategy & Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with operations, logistics, and documentation teams to deliver tailored shipping solutions and ensure seamless service execution.
  • Reporting: Track performance metrics and provide regular, data-driven reports on sales activities to management.
