Business Development Executive

A Business Development Executive (BDE) focuses on growing a company’s revenue by finding new business opportunities, building relationships, and expanding market reach. It’s a mix of sales, strategy, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

A Business Development Executive typically:

  • Identifies new business opportunities (clients, markets, partnerships)
  • Generates leads through calls, emails, networking, and online research
  • Builds and maintains relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Presents products or services to potential clients
  • Negotiates contracts and closes deals
  • Works closely with marketing and sales teams to align strategies
  • Tracks market trends and competitor activities
  • Prepares reports on sales performance and growth opportunities

Daily Tasks

  • Cold calling or emailing potential clients
  • Attending meetings or presentations
  • Following up on leads and proposals
  • Updating CRM systems
  • Coordinating with internal teams to meet client needs
