Business Development Executive - Chemicals

The Role
The Business Development Executive - Chemicals is responsible for both technical and sales functions relating to hygiene chemical products and dosing machines. The role covers installation, maintenance, repair, and safety verification of dispensers, as well as training clients and staff. Additionally, the post holder drives sales activities by developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction in alignment with Dhofar Global’s mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements
Technical Responsibilities • Install and commission chemical dispensers and dosing machines. • Conduct verification and safety testing of chemical doses, maintaining accurate records. • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of machines and dispensers. • Provide technical training and demonstrations of equipment and chemicals to staff and clients. • Develop Health & Safety instructions, posters, and operational guidelines. • Deliver on-call support and assist with technical installations across GCC markets as required. Sales & Customer Engagement • Identify leads, research market opportunities, and introduce Dhofar Global hygiene chemical products. • Understand client requirements, recommend tailored solutions, and present proposals. • Demonstrate hygiene chemical machines/products to potential and existing clients. • Maintain client relationships by providing after-sales support, professional guidance, and resolving issues promptly. • Advise clients on promotions, new products, and the full range of offerings. • Ensure compliance with payment terms and company procedures in all client transactions. Sales Operations & Reporting • Prepare quotations, proposals, and pricing submissions ensuring competitive yet profitable margins. • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pricing, and customer interactions. • Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs. • Support the broader sales team with chemical product requirements and technical expertise. • Participate in trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations to expand business networks. • Monitor competitor products and activities, reporting insights to line manager. General • Control expenses in line with department budgets. • Adopt a proactive approach to continuous learning, identifying personal development needs. • Perform all duties with high integrity and adherence to company ethical standards, policies, and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS Academic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Science / Technical discipline or equivalent. Years of Experience • Minimum 4 years of technical experience, preferably in hygiene chemicals or similar industry. Nature of Experience • Installation, maintenance, and safety testing of chemical dosing machines. • Technical demonstrations and customer training. • FMCG, hygiene, or trading sector sales experience is advantageous. Other Skills / requirement • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Effective presentation and teaching abilities. • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills. • Ability to balance technical and sales responsibilities. • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferred).
