Business Development Executive - Freight Brokerage (US & Canada Market)

Bak Freight is a North America-focused logistics company providing freight forwarding, brokerage, and last-mile solutions. We work with importers, retailers, and manufacturers across the United States and Canada.

We are expanding our international sales team and looking for driven individuals who want to build a career in high-value B2B logistics sales.

Priority Hiring
Priority will be given to candidates who can bring:

  • Existing shipper accounts
  • Freight opportunities
  • Relationships with US or Canadian businesses

Additional compensation and incentives are available for candidates who bring active business.

Role Overview
This role focuses on generating and qualifying new business opportunities with companies in the US and Canada.

You will be speaking directly with:

  • Importers
  • Distributors
  • Retailers
  • Logistics decision-makers

This is not a typical call center role. It is a performance-driven B2B sales position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential clients in the US and Canada
  • Conduct outbound cold calls and email outreach
  • Develop and manage shipper relationships
  • Qualify freight opportunities and client needs
  • Schedule meetings for the senior sales/closing team
  • Maintain pipeline and activity in CRM
  • Follow up consistently with prospects

Requirements

  • Strong spoken and written English (mandatory)
  • Experience in sales, lead generation, or cold calling
  • Confident speaking with US/Canada clients
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay consistent
  • Self-motivated and target-driven

Preferred:

  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or brokerage
  • Familiarity with US/Canada shipping lanes
  • Existing shipper contacts or book of business

Compensation

  • Base + Uncapped performance bonuses:
  • Per qualified meeting booked
  • Additional incentives for closed deals

For candidates bringing existing customers:

  • Higher commission structure
  • Immediate revenue-sharing incentives
  • Customized compensation based on portfolio
