The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the transportation and logistics sector. The role focuses on expanding the company’s client base, building long-term customer relationships, and promoting logistics solutions that align with client requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients in freight forwarding, warehousing, road transport, and supply chain solutions.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pricing to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
- Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
- Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
- Provide feedback to management on pricing, service offerings, and competitive positioning.
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics services.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure client requirements are met effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain services.

- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in sales/business development within the transportation or logistics sector.
- Knowledge of local and international logistics regulations is an advantage.
- Valid driving license
