Job Description: Business Development Head

Department: Business Development / Strategy

Position Summary:

The Business Development Head is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and identifying new business opportunities across the restaurant division. The role requires strong industry knowledge, understanding of current F&B trends, and the ability to develop innovative strategies. Experience in food packaging, product development, and brand expansion is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow restaurant revenue and expand market share.
  • Identify new market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive insights to drive innovation.
  • Lead research and feasibility studies for new restaurant concepts, menu ideas, and packaging solutions.
  • Formulate long-term and short-term strategic business plans for expansion.
  • Explore new markets, locations, and partnership opportunities.
  • Evaluate potential collaborations, franchise opportunities, and strategic alliances.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market mapping to identify growth opportunities.
  • Introduce innovative ideas for restaurant concepts, menu engineering, and customer experience enhancement.
  • Oversee development of new packaging solutions aligned with brand identity, cost optimization, and sustainability requirements.
  • Work closely with operations, culinary, and procurement teams to implement new products or innovations.
  • Develop and manage sales pipelines, targets, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and pursue B2B and B2C sales opportunities, including catering, corporate deals, and delivery platforms.
  • Support pricing strategies and promotional planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and potential clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
  • Lead and mentor the business development team.
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Business Development within the F&B/Restaurant sector.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the F&B industry.
  • Proven experience in packaging development, branding, and product innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
