Business Development Lead - Financial Services

Location: Dubai

SELECTED is partnering with a leading global Financial Services organisation to appoint a Business Development Lead to drive commercial growth and strategic partnerships across the GCC region.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious, Arabic-speaking professional to lead a high-performing team and play a key role in expanding the firm's footprint across the Middle East. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build and nurture strategic relationships across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on growing relationships with private companies across all GCC markets
  • Manage and inspire a large, diverse team across multiple markets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and consistent delivery of results
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across corporate and institutional segments
  • Lead high-level client meetings and presentations, positioning the organisation as a trusted financial partner
  • Manage and grow existing strategic relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams across product, operations, and marketing to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning across GCC markets
  • Represent the organisation at regional conferences, events, and networking functions to strengthen brand visibility and partnerships
  • Prepare reports and forecasts on business development performance and pipeline growth
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7-10 years' experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Commercial roles within Financial Services or related industries
  • Proven experience managing large and diverse teams, ideally across multiple markets
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing strategic relationships across the GCC
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential
  • Strong understanding of GCC markets, commercial dynamics, and key private sector players
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Highly motivated, strategic, and commercially minded with a consultative, solution-driven approach
