Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible for driving business growth by maintaining and expanding the Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering (HORECA) and Distribution sales channels within the foodservice sector, as well as identifying and developing additional routes to market with local and international Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs). This role will play a key part in supporting the department's strategic focus on non-airline sales. The job holder will work closely with internal stakeholders, including culinary, procurement, and finance teams, to ensure accurate market knowledge is applied in delivering tailored solutions to external foodservice stakeholders such as HORECA operators, distributors, and QSRs.
Key Result Areas:
1. Plan and implement business development strategies to maximize customer acquisition, market penetration, and alignment with EKFC's financial objectives, driving both tactical and strategic growth.
2. Analyse potential business deals by evaluating market strategies, deal requirements, financials, and priorities to identify and pursue profitable opportunities.
3. Seek and secure new revenue opportunities in local, regional, and export markets by building networks, identifying resources, and meeting sales and business development objectives.
4. Develop and execute innovative sales plans, prepare sales forecasts and budgets, and implement multi-year business strategies to achieve long-term growth.
5. Manage day-to-day sales activities of account management and customer care to achieve the departments sales targets through profitable business relationships
6. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards while safeguarding organizational value by maintaining confidentiality and ethical practices.
7. Lead and motivate the Business Development team with a performance-driven approach to achieve targets by retaining existing customers and expanding operations.
8. Provide ongoing client support by maintaining open communication, conducting regular visits, and resolving issues to ensure strong and lasting business relationships.
9. Negotiate and finalize terms of sales agreements with existing and new clients to maximize EKFC's business interests and service excellence, while monitoring success rates and outcomes.
10. Oversee sales support functions, including administration, customer service, and invoicing, to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and maintain smooth cash flow.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
Education Qualification:
* Bachelor's in business or marketing with 7 years of relevant experience. Prior Experience in FMCG industry preferred.
Work Experience:
* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the FMCG foodservice industry.
Skills:
1. A strong track record of commercial experience with evidence of developed skills including category management, price negotiation and retailer brand management
2. Proficient with numbers and financial analysis and proven ability to meet budget targets
3. Proven ability to develop rapport with multi-national clients
4. Strong experience in costing, customer influence, and management with a proven record in delivering creative food solutions.
5. Must have exposure to senior executives and a demonstrated ability to address complaints.
6. Actively demonstrate the following behaviors: consultative, collaborative, analytical, pro-active, change orientated and structured with the ability to be flexible as required.
7. High standards of professional conduct with excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
9. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
10. Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
11. Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
12. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
13. Multilingual
14. Local market experience and knowledge in foodservice with a good network of operators and contacts in the HORECA and distribution channel to help grow the number of dealing customers.
