Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves market research, client acquisition, strategic planning, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company sales targets and market expansion goals.
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and potential business opportunities through market research and competitor analysis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Generate new leads, conduct client meetings, prepare sales proposals, and close deals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and support brand positioning.
- Track market trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to recommend improvements in products or services.
- Prepare and deliver business presentations, sales forecasts, and performance reports to management.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to ensure profitability and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with operations, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and implement strategies to improve client retention.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
- Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and propose strategic solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
