Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager | Houston, TX | Hybrid | $120k OTE


A high growth B2B tech platform is hiring a Business Development Manager to build new business across the Texas market. This is a pure hunter role for someone who genuinely enjoys prospecting, opening doors, and creating opportunities from scratch.


This role suits people who love the process of selling, not those waiting for inbound leads or inherited accounts.


The Role

You will own a defined territory and be responsible for winning new mid market and enterprise customers. You will manage the full sales cycle from first conversation through close and launch, working closely with internal operations teams to ensure long term success.


This is not an account management role. You will be expected to hunt consistently, build your own book of business, and maintain momentum through disciplined activity.


What You Will Be Doing

• Proactively prospecting and generating your own pipeline

• Selling a workplace solution to HR leaders and people managers

• Navigating multiple decision makers in complex sales cycles

• Running discovery, presenting solutions, negotiating and closing

• Building and managing your own book of accounts over time

What We Are Looking For

• 3 to 4+ years of B2B outside sales experience

• Proven experience winning net new business

• Comfortable cold calling and sourcing your own opportunities

• Someone who enjoys hunting and does not need to be pushed

• Strategic thinker who understands how to sell value, not features

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary typically between $80,000 and $95,000

• First year on target commission of $20,000 to $25,000
