Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion for the company’s portfolio of valves, flow control products, pipes & fittings, instrumentation solutions, and robotics systems, including robotic arms and industrial robots. The role requires strong technical sales capability, strategic business development skills, and the ability to build relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, government utilities, and industrial clients.
The candidate is to identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships, and promote engineering solutions across sectors such as water infrastructure, sewage treatment, desalination plants, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical industries, and industrial automation.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target sectors such as water, wastewater, desalination, power plants, oil & gas, and industrial automation.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand market presence.
- Generate and manage sales pipelines for valves, actuators, pipes & fittings, instrumentation systems, and robotics solutions.
- Establish relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, government utilities, and industrial clients.
Sales & Marketing
- Promote the company’s product portfolio, including:
- Flow control valves
- Actuators and control systems
- Instrumentation products
- Industrial robotic arms and automation solutions
- Prepare technical proposals, commercial quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with clients.
- Participate in trade exhibitions, industry seminars, and marketing events.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to provide customized solutions.
- Manage customer accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Identify emerging technologies and new opportunities in automation and robotics.
- Provide regular market feedback to management to support strategic planning.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, and logistics.
- Support project execution and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Assist in resolving technical or commercial issues during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in technical sales or business development in one or more of the following sectors:
- Valves & flow control
- Instrumentation
- Industrial automation
- Robotics systems
- Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and government utilities in the GCC region is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of valves, actuators, pipeline products, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems.
- Proven track record in technical sales and business development.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong client relationship management abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of desalination and power plant systems.
- Exposure to robotics, industrial automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- GCC market experience and established industry network.
