Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Business Development to drive strategic growth, identify new business opportunities, and expand market presence within the marine, logistics, or related sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building partnerships, increasing revenue, and executing business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and strategic partnerships
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Lead sales initiatives, set targets, and ensure revenue generation goals are met
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, marketing) to align strategies
• Support the development of new services, solutions, and offerings
• Monitor sales performance and optimize processes through data analysis
• Prepare business plans, forecasts, and management reports
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures
• Represent the organization at industry events, meetings, and networking platforms
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor, and manage the business development team

• Number of new clients and partnerships acquired
• Value of contracts secured
• Market share growth
• Lead conversion rate
• Success rate of new service offerings

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Master’s Degree is an advantage

Experience:

• 6–8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles
• Experience in logistics, marine services, shipping, or similar industry preferred
• MARINE industry experience

Skills & Competencies

• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Leadership and team management experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and ERP tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Established industry network and client relationships
• Experience in contract management and partnership development
• Knowledge of logistics/shipping regulations and market trends
• Professional certifications (e.g., CBDP) are a plus
