We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our logistics company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics services, including freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in domestic and international logistics markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance, customer service) to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adjust strategies.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM software.
- Participate in logistics trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand market presence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of logistics services (e.g., air/sea freight, 3PL, warehousing, customs clearance).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
