Business Development Manager – Corporate Catering (Build & Scale Role)

About The Monk

The Monk is a 15-year-old established Indo-Chinese restaurant brand in Dubai, known for its bold flavors, strong brand identity, and multi-location presence.

As part of our next phase of growth, we are launching a dedicated corporate catering and B2B vertical from scratch — focused on business dining, office catering, and institutional partnerships.

Role Overview (VERY IMPORTANT)

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager who will build, launch, and scale our corporate catering division from the ground up.

This is not an operations role.

This is a pure revenue-building role, where the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating a pipeline from zero
  • Acquiring corporate clients
  • Generating consistent monthly B2B revenue
  • Establishing The Monk as a preferred catering partner in Dubai

The ideal candidate is a hunter, not an operator.

Key Responsibilities1. Build the Business (0 → 1 Ownership)

  • Set up the corporate catering vertical from scratch
  • Identify target markets: offices, business hubs, co-working spaces, institutions
  • Define go-to-market strategy (areas, segments, pricing approach)

2. Business Development & Sales (CORE FOCUS)

  • Acquire corporate clients for:
  • Business lunches & dinners
  • Office catering
  • Corporate events & bulk orders
  • Monthly meal contracts / canteen supply
  • Generate leads through:
  • Cold calling
  • Field visits
  • Networking
  • Corporate tie-ups
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets

3. Corporate Partnerships

  • Close long-term contracts with:
  • Offices & corporate parks
  • Schools, colleges, and institutions
  • Staff meal programs
  • Position The Monk as a reliable, premium catering partner

4. Product & Offering Development (WITH TEAM)

  • Work with internal teams to:
  • Design corporate menus & packages
  • Create meal plans & subscription models
  • Customize solutions for different client segments

Note: Execution will be supported internally — focus remains on revenue generation

5. Client Ownership

  • Manage key accounts and ensure repeat business
  • Handle negotiations, contracts, and renewals
  • Build long-term relationships for recurring revenue

What We Are NOT Looking For

Operations-heavy profiles (kitchen / outlet / event execution)
Candidates without direct sales targets
Candidates who have not personally closed deals

Requirements

  • 3–6 years experience in B2B sales / corporate catering / hospitality sales
  • Proven track record of closing deals and generating revenue
  • Strong network in Dubai corporate ecosystem
  • Experience in field sales and client acquisition
  • Ability to work in a target-driven, performance-based environment
  • UAE driving license (mandatory)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: AED 5,000 – AED 10,000 (based on experience)
  • Incentives: High-performance commission structure (uncapped)

KPIs (Success Metrics)

  • Number of new corporate clients acquired
  • Monthly B2B revenue generated
  • Pipeline size and conversion rate
  • Repeat business / retention
  • Value of long-term contracts signed

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
