Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager – Event & Exhibition is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the company’s event and exhibition services. This role involves strategic sales planning, client acquisition, proposal development, and close coordination with the creative and operations teams to deliver impactful and profitable event solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in event and exhibition sales, a wide professional network, and the ability to translate client needs into successful business deals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Growth & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, target, and secure new clients across corporate, government, trade, and private sectors.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Generate new business leads through market research, networking, and cold outreach.
  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, marketing heads, and brand managers.

2. Proposal & Presentation Development

  • Work closely with the creative, design, and operations teams to prepare proposals, presentations, and quotations.
  • Develop customized event and exhibition solutions aligned with client objectives and budgets.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and pitch decks to clients.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Manage existing client accounts and ensure repeat business through consistent service quality.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing guidance on creative, branding, and event strategies.
  • Ensure smooth communication between client and internal teams throughout project lifecycle.

4. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Conduct market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to brand positioning and business strategy development.
  • Recommend innovative event formats, technologies, and partnership opportunities.

5. Financial & Contract Management

  • Participate in pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure timely invoicing, payment collection, and profitability tracking for all projects.
  • Monitor sales KPIs, forecasts, and performance reports.

6. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate with the Creative, Operations, and Marketing teams to align sales with execution.
  • Provide input to ensure client expectations are met in all deliverables.
  • Support post-event evaluation and feedback collection for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the event, exhibition, or experiential marketing industry.
  • Strong understanding of event production, fabrication, branding, and exhibition stand design.
  • Experience handling B2B and corporate clients.
