Job Overview
The Business Development Manager -International Logistics will be instrumental in enhancing our international presence through strategic networking and development. Your mission will be to cultivate partnerships, engage with key industry players, and identify lucrative opportunities that align with our strategic goals. This role requires a blend of sharp business acumen, outstanding networking skills, and a deep understanding of global market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically expand our global network by identifying and securing partnerships with key stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align global strategies with local market needs and opportunities.
- Identify and approach global partners in order to get agents and delivery partners globally.
- Preparing contracts, agency and rate agreements for international agents.
- Communicate on potential business between branches and countries.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new potential markets and understand regional nuances in the logistics and transportation sector.
- Maintain a robust network of industry contacts and regularly engage with them to stay ahead of market trends.
- Develop and implement growth strategies that encompass both global and local perspectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments in international markets.
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop tailored approaches for different markets.
- Prepare and present business proposals and progress reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a networking, business development, or strategic partnership's role, preferably with an international scope.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Air Freight, Sea Freight and Logistics (Logistics communication and knowhow from quote to handling)
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong professional networks.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in additional languages being a significant plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively internationally.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in leveraging data to inform networking strategies.
