Job Purpose
The Business Development Lead is a critical member of our Sales & Revenue team, responsible for generating quality leads, building strong client relationships, and supporting business expansion across Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the BDR will conduct market research, manage inbound and outbound DB activities, support proposals in both English and Arabic, and ensure a strong top-of-funnel pipeline aligned with Chronicle Heritage Arabia’s growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Client Outreach
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, partners, and projects within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
• Prospect new clients through cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, targeted BD campaigns, and networking.
• Qualify inbound leads from bid portals, campaigns, aligning customer business objectives with Chronicle Arabia’s heritage solutions.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings with prospective clients for Account Executives and Strategic Account Executives.
• Manage vendor registrations, prequalification, and procurement/tendering portals (Arabic & English).
• Support the tailoring of proposals and client communications in both English and Arabic.
Relationship Management & Strategy
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business.
• Collaborate with international sales and proposal teams to align strategies and execute business development plans.
• Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support business strategies and service improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing to support lead-generation campaigns and exchange selling strategies.
Pipeline Management
• Maintain organized pipeline and activity records in CRM systems (Salesforce).
• Record accurate client interaction data and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
• Consistently meet or exceed outreach goals (20 outbound calls per day) and conversion targets.
• Targeting 15 SALs (Meetings or 2/4 BANT; budget, authority, need, timing) per month and 8 SQLs (4/4 BANT) qualified opportunities per month.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 3–5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles (preferably in consulting, cultural heritage, or professional services).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Strong research skills and ability to identify new account opportunities.
• Results-driven mindset with ability to meet and exceed sales objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce and marketing automation tools.
• Comfortable with cold calling, negotiation, and handling objections.
