Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Business Development Specialist / Engineer with a strong background in the energy sector, with proven experience in business development, sales, and large-scale project bidding in the utilities space.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities in the renewable energy sector across the AMEA region

Lead or support the preparation of proposals, tenders, and bids for utility-scale renewable energy projects

Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, government bodies, financial institutions, and strategic partners

Negotiate contracts including EPC, PPA, SHA, CSA, and financing agreements

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance, and permitting teams to ensure project success

Monitor market trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies within the region

Support the due diligence process and project acquisition activities

Contribute to the overall sales strategy and revenue targets in alignment with company goals
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Engineering

7–10 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy
-
Minimum 3 years of business development experience in the utility sector, working on large-scale projects and bids
Key Skills & Competencies:

Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a strong advantage

Strong understanding of renewable power technologies including solar, wind, and battery storage

Excellent contract negotiation skills across a range of agreements (EPC, PPA, SHA, CSA, etc.)

Experience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and site permitting is a plus

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities

Effective communicator with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
