Business Development Specialist

Role Overview

As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing data and reports derived from all B2B information platforms to generate valuable commercial insights related to Sales & Distribution performance, KPIs, gaps, and business opportunities. As part of our team in Head Office, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, directly supporting our Sales team and acting as a focal point for commercial operations. You'll also be responsible for preparing and maintaining comprehensive commercial and planning tools such as targets breakdown, customer coverage, portfolio distribution, investment and promotion plans, and selling tools. This role requires active collaboration with Warehouse, Finance, and Marketing to resolve operational bottlenecks, as well as overseeing effective communication with customers regarding commercial activities and supporting the e-commerce platform.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed sales reports and conduct relevant analysis to assess performance progress, gaps, and new opportunities.
  • Manage all sales activity tools and plans, including target breakdowns, KPIs, investment plans, and tour schedules.
  • Act as the key gatekeeper for sales operational processes such as tour plans, trade investments, and contract execution.
  • Maintain and regularly update the e-commerce platform with product listings, pricing adjustments, and promotions.
  • Provide outstanding B2B client support, liaising with the Sales team to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time product delivery.
  • Strive to meet and exceed set sales targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure product availability of key SKUs in alignment with sales strategies and plans.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of pet supplies businesses and provide tailored commercial solutions.
  • Remain updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to adjust strategies as needed.


Must have requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within B2B sales or commercial analytics.
  • Proven ability in sales-commercial analytics and generating impactful insights from sales data.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a successful track record against sales targets.
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence and the ability to act as a support resource for sales teams.
  • Excellent writing skills, particularly in business email communication and content creation.
  • Solid experience in B2B sales processes and e-commerce platform management.
  • Proficiency in Shopify and Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and core formulas.
  • Comfortable utilizing AI tools to process and analyze data with efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
