About Us

We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team in an Business Litigation Attorney capacity. This role is ideal for a highly skilled litigator with a strong background in business litigation, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and other commercial disputes.

Legal Expertise & Strategic Support

  • Provide high-level legal advice and analysis in complex litigation matters, particularly in business and commercial disputes.
  • Offer strategic input on case development, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Advise on declaratory judgment actions, including initiating and defending such claims in state and federal courts.

Declaratory Actions

  • Handle matters involving declaratory relief, particularly in the context of breach of contract, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and other business-related litigation.
  • Draft and review declaratory pleadings, analyze legal issues requiring judicial clarification, and develop litigation strategies based on likely court interpretations.

Litigation Support

  • Support trial teams by assisting in legal research, drafting dispositive motions, and evaluating evidence and legal theories.
  • Provide second-chair trial support or oversee specific phases of litigation as needed.

Client Relations

  • Serve as a key legal advisor to firm clients, particularly in complex or high-stakes matters.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update on case developments, legal risks, and potential outcomes.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Mentor and collaborate with partners to ensure high-quality legal services.
  • Participate in internal strategy sessions and contribute to firm knowledge and best practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure that all legal actions align with ethical rules, client obligations, and procedural compliance.
  • Flag potential risks in ongoing or prospective litigation matters.

Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas bar license

7+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on business/commercial matters

Proven experience handling declaratory actions and related civil claims

Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Strong strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Labor & Employment experience is a plus.
