Business Litigation Attorney

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic and growing law firm based in Plano, TX. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled litigator with a strong background in business and commercial disputes, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and related litigation. The ideal candidate will manage complex cases, provide strategic legal advice, and contribute to the firm’s continued reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage business litigation matters, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and commercial claims.
• Develop litigation strategies, oversee motion practice, and prepare trial materials.
• Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in both state and federal courts.
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor, communicating updates, risks, and recommendations effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues and trial teams to ensure superior client service.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to firm-wide best practices.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, client obligations, and procedural requirements.
• Identify and advise on legal risks in ongoing and potential litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar License required.
• Minimum 7 years of litigation experience, preferably in business or commercial law.
• Proven success handling declaratory actions and complex civil litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and independent judgment.
• Labor & Employment law experience is a plus.
