Business Process Mapping (Freelancer)

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Mapping Specialist to document, analyze, and optimize end-to-end business processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate complex operations into clear, structured process maps that support efficiency, governance, and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing (“as-is”) business processes through stakeholder interviews and document reviews
Develop clear and accurate process maps (e.g., BPMN, swimlane diagrams, flowcharts)
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
Design optimized (“to-be”) process models aligned with business objectives
Ensure processes are documented in line with organizational standards and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and refine process documentation
Deliver professional, well-structured process documentation and reports

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Professional certifications (e.g., CBPA, BPM, Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage
5+ years of experience in business process mapping and business analysis
Strong knowledge of BPMN or similar process modeling standards
Hands-on experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio, ARIS, or equivalent)
Proven ability to analyze complex processes and translate them into clear documentation
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working independently in a freelance or consulting environment
Experience in government, consulting, or large enterprise environments is preferred
