International’s IC Bus Plant is looking for an exceptional leader to join our manufacturing operations team. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role ideal for someone who loves leading people, improving processes, and owning results from start to finish.
As the Business Team Lead / Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will:

Lead and develop a team of 2 supervisors and a production workforce

Own performance for a key production area—driving quality, delivery, safety, and cost metrics in our Paint and Post Paint Production areas

Partner cross‑functionally with Tooling, Operations, Staffing, and Forecasting teams

Influence strategic planning and workforce development within the plant

Help shape process improvements and contribute to major plant initiatives

Play a crucial role in delivering best‑in‑class products to customers and dealers

Responsibilities:
Leads daily operations within assigned production areas—driving performance to meet (and exceed) goals for output, quality, safety, and cost.-
Optimizes production flow by prioritizing schedules around new product introductions, equipment capacity, and material availability.

Creates and oversees operating procedures and budgets, ensuring resources are aligned to business needs and operational targets.

Provides strategic budget input and manages capital expenditures along with direct and indirect labor to support efficient, cost‑effective operations.

Builds accurate staffing and production plans, developing schedules and manpower models that keep the operation running smoothly.

Selects, develops, and mentors talent, cultivating a high‑performing team and ensuring the department operates with strong capability, accountability, and engagement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of production/manufacturing experience
OR
-
Master's degree and at least 2 years of production/manufacturing experience
OR
-
At least 6 years of production/manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills:
Demonstrated success leading projects end‑to‑end, from initial design through full‑scale implementation.-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret daily manufacturing performance, quality, and cost data to drive informed decisions.

Proven leadership experience managing teams within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Experience leading both Union and non‑Union workforces, with the ability to navigate diverse labor environments effectively.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, inform, and engage at all levels.

Skilled in managing and motivating a diverse workforce, building strong relationships across functions and levels of the organization.
