Job Overview
We’re hiring a Buyer to keep materials flowing for production and to support new-business quoting. You’ll use our ERP to plan and purchase materials, manage assigned suppliers, and partner cross-functionally to ensure quotes and materials are accurate and on time.
Duties
- Resource planning & purchasing (ERP-driven): learn and become fluent in Dynamics 365 Business Central, maintain planning parameters, analyze planning worksheet data, and issue/confirm purchase orders.
- Supplier management & bids: review supplier performance, set up new suppliers, prepare RFQs, participate in quote review and supplier selection, and run pricing reviews.
- Support sales quoting (RFQs): request quotes for materials/services, support chemical pricing for formulas, source packaging components (shippers/inserts), and keep quote data organized/communicated.
- New part setup & launches: create/assign purchased-item part numbers in ERP, attend launch meetings, provide item lists with MOQs and lead times.
- Other purchasing coverage: MRO, equipment/tooling/services, freight claims, waste disposal, and support for Engineering / Quality / Production / Receiving / Shipping.
Skills
- Education: Must be pursuing or currently have a bachelors degree.
- Experience: 0–2 years purchasing experience required.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook) and comfort working in an ERP system.
- Strong math skills, including unit conversions (grams↔pounds, ounces↔mL, volume↔mass).
- Professional supplier-facing communication required; negotiation skills are a plus.
Pay: $57,500.00 - $66,000.00 per year
