The Buyer is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the company. This includes sourcing new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the procurement process. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of industries and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Source and evaluate new suppliers to meet company standards for quality, cost, and reliability.

Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery.

Accurately prepare and convert purchase requisitions; ensure completed requisitions are sent to suppliers or requestors for review as needed.

Review supplier order confirmations for accuracy and follow up promptly on any discrepancies.

Maintain accurate and organized documentation in SAP, Excel, Vasion, and/or local filing systems.

Support procurement needs across all KTP facilities, including locations in New York, Illinois, California, and North Carolina.

Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Collaborate with the Accounting team to verify purchase requisitions and invoices for accuracy.

Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.

Track and analyze spending to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Manage supply chain risk by developing diversified supplier networks and optimizing inventory to prevent operational disruptions.

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.

Analyze company and product requirements to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.

Partner with other departments to ensure timely fulfillment of procurement needs.

Stay informed about market trends, supplier innovations, and best procurement practices.

Skills and Abilities

Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with dedicated procurement or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP).

Continuous improvement: Maintain a process optimization
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

2-3 years of experience in procurement.

Experience with Manufacturing industries preferred.

Proficiency in basic mathematical and data analysis skills.

SAP experience a plus
