WHAT WILL YOU DO

Job Summary: Drive cost savings, ensure procurement compliance, and collaborate with sourcing teams to optimize supplier relationships. Manage procurements and supplier negotiations to archive the established targets within the Cayey site.

Duties and Responsibilities: (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company)

  • Negotiate supplier agreements and ensure contracts compliance, corporate policies, governance and external regulations.
  • Develop strong vendor relationships and manage sourcing activities with internal stakeholders.
  • Extract, analyze and presents inventory data to support sourcing strategy.
  • Monitors compliance metrics, tracks savings and report procurement performance monthly.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in the requisitions to pay process and implements continuous improvements.
  • Train internal team on best practices and compliance with purchasing system.
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.
  • Oversee the full P2P process -requisitions to PO closure.
  • Implement inventory controls procedures to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Provide guidance, support and supervision to a team of storeroom clerks.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels of materials and supplies.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that team members perform their duties efficiently.
  • Performs general duties for the department as assigned and provides support to shipping areas, logistics processes for materials and warehouse.
  • Keeps work areas clean and organized—including following 6S principles.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety rules.
  • Meets FDA requirements for record-keeping.
  • It complies with the requirements of the company's Environmental Policy and Commitment and thus promotes the preservation of the environment and natural resources.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operation.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Education and Experience:

  • Desirable Master Degree. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or field related
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing plant operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising a team
  • Knowledge/Experience in planning, negotiations and agreements.
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems
  • Familiar with ISO and FDA regulations relative to manufacturing and materials management operations.

Language Skills:

  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and suppliers.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Computer literate and knowledge of Internet and Business applications such as Microsoft office.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Planning/organizational skills to consistently, effectively and timely comply with business goals, plans, processes, practices-within due dates.
  • Problem solving skills to solve complex and practical problems.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Willingness to lead, motivate, offer suggestions and guidance to address risk taking opportunities and business challenges.
  • Knowledge of strategic/business planning, leadership, resource allocation, production processes and people management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,107.58 - $54,323.11 per year
