Buyer (Oil & Gas experience)

OGSI Oil & Gas Fields Equipment Manufacturing FZE design and manufactures high-quality products and metering systems for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries.

We are urgently hiring a Buyer with experience in Oil & Gas (Calibration & Metering systems). An Engineering background will add value.

Job Function:

Buying cost-effective goods & services for the business, ensuring high quality & on-time delivery, and maintaining appropriate records.

Responsibilities:

• Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and services.
• Building good relationships with Suppliers.
• Negotiating with Suppliers to obtain the best pricing, deliveries & payment terms.
• Processing of Supplier RFQs & Quotations to produce Purchase Orders.
• Checking stock levels and suitable alternatives.
• Generating Purchase Orders using SAGE 200, and placing online Orders
• Carrying out expediting of purchased goods & services to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintaining expediting records, documenting contact & intervention with Suppliers throughout the delivery period, and providing the status of each Purchase Order.
• Maintaining records of budget costs against actual costs and the amounts saved through negotiations for each Purchase Order.
• Carrying out Supplier performance reviews with the QHSE Team and actioning lessons learnt.
• Supplier invoice query resolution with the Finance Team.
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement of Procurement processes & systems.
• Updating Procurement records to enable reporting of KPI's, both for the Procurement Team & Supplier performance.
• Control and management of the Procurement Team's company credit cards
• Liaising closely with the Purchasing Assistant to ensure efficient running of the Procurement Team.
