The Dixon Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer-Sales Assistant to join our team in Pewaukee, WI! The Buyer will support all activities related to procurement, inventory management and sales quotation. This will include obtaining quotations, calculating lead times and prices, placing purchase orders, tracking orders, and assisting with inventory activities. Will also support part number creation by assuring parts are entered into the system accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with Purchasing and Sales related projects as required.

  • What You'll Do:

As a Buyer-Sales Assistant, your day-to-day will involve high-level coordination across the following areas:

  • Manage the Open Order Report, handle Domestic PO acknowledgments, and conduct rigorous follow-ups on past-due purchase orders.
  • Solicit vendor quotes, maintain the vendor database, and manage ongoing vendor communications.
  • Handle Bill of Materials and part number entry into the system; ensure vendor part maintenance is accurate and timely.
  • Provide essential back-up for Foreign Purchasing and SF Factory ordering.
  • Calculate prices based on standard costs, perform margin analysis, and handle custom part quoting to support the sales team.
  • Generate and manage various reports including Delivery Date Accuracy (DDA), Logility, and Cancelled Orders.
  • Assist with Standard Cost Rolls, Supply Chain QC tasks, and manage/clean up shared departmental file folders.
  • Assist Customer Service Representatives (CSR) via Smartsheet to resolve inquiries efficiently.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in purchasing, sales support, or a related administrative supply chain role.
  • Ability to perform margin analysis and price calculations with high accuracy.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Word, with a strong familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for professional vendor and internal interaction.
  • A self-starter who can multi-task across different programs, set priorities, and meet deadlines autonomously.
  • A flexible "team player" attitude, willing to jump in and assist with various projects as required.
